3. " REIKI BECOMES PROFESSIONAL " - by Nahwinga

One of the most exciting things to happen in psychic circles over the last
few months, is the news of the formation of a professional Reiki
Practitioners Association.

Formed under the banner of "The World Reiki Ministry" the formation of this
body has been longed for by many Reiki practitioners right around the world.

All applicants for membership of the Association will need to have a Reiki
II or Reiki III standing and must be prepared to work under the Code of
Ethics. They will also need to satisfy the Membership Committee that their
association with Reiki is as a genuine practitioner with a desire to help
themselves heal and then pass that on to their brothers and sisters in the
community.

The formation of this association will also show prospective patients that
they are, indeed, dealing with a genuine, qualified, and right minded
practitioner, one of the greatest problems of the general public in years
gone by.....how many times have we practitioners heard complaints such as
"You guys charge large sums of money for what you do, yet we have no
guarantee that you have done sufficient study to qualify as a professional
practitioner.....the doctor has a degree on his wall as does the solicitor,
the dentist and others, but we see no evidence of your qualifications
anywhere,"

Well, now they have. New members of the Reiki Ministry will have a diploma
to hang on their wall and this will tell patients that the practitioner is,
indeed, qualified to a high standard, and has agreed to abide by, and be
bound by, a professional code of ethics.

Yes, early days yet and, yes again, not much water has flowed under this
bridge as yet, but pass it will, and we will end up, I believe, in ALL Reiki
practitioners, here in the UK and abroad, holding that qualification before
they can practice. It will also be good to see a standard of fees too.

I have heard it said that Reiki is a gift from God and, as such, should not
be charged for. My personal attitude to this is that, if we want to apply
that criteria, then so is every other method by which people earn their
living.

Most of my colleagues, and I, are already adjusting the fees we charge
according to the patient's (or the student's) ability to pay. We are
particularly inclined to do this to those being attuned to Reiki I as part
of their instruction, without charge.

4. RECURRING NUMBERS - what do they mean?

Do you keep seeing a particular number and wonder why? Or do you have a number you consider "lucky"?

I've heard many stories of people for whom a particular number keeps coming up in their life - whether it is looking at the clock and the digits always say xx:11 or xx:22. Sometimes it is a very specific number, like 12:34 or they keep being drawn towards 4's or 9's, maybe even choosing a particular number because they feel it is lucky for them.

Why is this?

To help explain this, I'm going to tell you a little story. A long time ago, I bought a Triumph Spitfire sports car - I doubt if there are many around now, but at the time it was a great little sports car and it felt good driving it. Up until I bought it, I hadn't particularly noticed many other Spitfires on the road. However, driving around in the new car, suddenly I noticed them everywhere and often we would get a wave from the other car too! It wasn't that there was a sudden increase in Spitfire owners all of a sudden, it was just that I had an interest in them now and so I was noticing them more.

Going back to numbers - there is a similar phenomenon. There is some internal interest in a particular number, which is prompting a heightened awareness of that number around you. This is sometimes referred to as a "wake up call", but generally there is something in you that is prompting you to be more aware of something. Perhaps you are a busy little troglodyte, getting on with day to day operational details and forgetting about your overall life plan. However, your sub-conscious or your spiritual self knows that there are aspects of yourself that are being ignored and is acting to draw your attention to this, often by focusing upon a particular number which is also usually a clue as to what needs attention.

Numerology can help unravel these clues.

Pythagoras understood that there was more to numbers than just quantitative mathematics and went further into philosophy and placed "qualitative value" on specific numbers. He devised a system of using numbers to help gain understanding, which is at the heart of numerology today.

Your individual birth date (among other things) can tell you a great deal about your own personality traits. The fact that you are being drawn to a particular number, shows that there is some specific area that you need to focus on. What that significance is will depend a great deal on your own birth date. If it is a number that is missing from your birth date, then it could be that you need to do work on the characteristics that are missing. Or, maybe you are ready to move on to a different phase in your life and need to adopt different attitudes and values to do this. The real name of "the" Bill Gates is William Henry Gates III. Nowadays he is known as Bill Gates (III), where "III" means the order of third (3rd.)

By converting the letters of his current name to the ASCII-values and adding his (III), you get the following:

PARTY NUMBERS

All the numbers went to a party and numbers being what they are, all the evens stayed around each other and all the odds did the same and neither group interacted with each other. Whilst two was chatting to four he noticed zero was on his own in the corner and suggested to four that because zero is sort of even he should be encouraged to mix with even numbers - four agreed. So off went two to invite zero into their little group.

"Would you like to join our little group" enquired two.

To which zero replied "I have nothing to add!"
