3. ARTICLE "Success"

It is critical for all of us to remember who we are. To remember our divine heritage as we move into the new millennium. And it is critical for us to move forward with joy and peace and love. Sure, we can also move forward through struggle and pain. But we have the choice; the easy way through Love or the hard way through Fear.

And so we come back to the ways in which Spirit speaks to us. She speaks to us in many ways, but she speaks to us most clearly through our feelings, through our heart. Whenever we are feeling joyful and positive and powerful and loving, it is those times that Spirit is speaking to us most clearly. Whatever feels joyful, positive, powerful, loving is Spirit simply reminding us who we are.

Our Soul, our Higher Self, is always in a state of perfect bliss, perfect joy, perfect peace, perfect love. This is so because the Higher Self is a part of the Godforce as all of our being can be, simply by remembering who and what we are. It is a state somewhat like a deep, meditative state, but with total awareness of our total reality and existence in the moment. If we are fully present in the moment with love, there can be no pain, no sorrow. There can be nothing but total peace-the peace, as the Bible says, that surpasses all understanding.

When we achieve that state of bliss and ecstasy, and we can fully achieve it while still in body, we will once again become one with Spirit, one with the one, one with God. And when Spirit speaks to you again, you will hear only the sound of your own voice.

We've just been talking about spiritual "success"....listening to Spirit and finding peace. However, we are living in a material world, which has its own ideas about success. So, what are those material criteria of success ...those we have to be willing to part with when we are asked to do so in order to follow our path? There are as many definitions of success (or happiness, for that matter), as there are humans living on Mother Earth. (also known by many as Mother Gaia). Since we all create our own realities, it's perfectly logical that we should all define success or happiness in our own unique, and special, way.

What are some of those "candidates" for the title of success.....money, harmonious relationships, sexy lovers, prestigious careers, beautiful houses, fancy cars, powerful friends, college degrees and on and on it goes. There will be a lot more that each and every one of us can add....those things precious to us and not even considered by others. Reversing for a moment, what are some of the things we definitely do NOT want on the list.....A job we hate, a failing marriage, a lack of money, dis-eased physical body (temple), lack of friends, lack of power "things we would love to have and have not" etc etc

Many humans, those who are still spiritually asleep, will strive as hard as they can to get a lot of what society teaches us reflect success-a lot of money and an "impressive" list of things......material goods. However, as they grow older and older, more and more people start to really understand that you cannot take what you have with you when its time to move on to another life. Yes, you can make a will and leave all your cash and all your lovely assets to a charity or to make life easier for others but that may not be helpful to those others who also have their own life plan. So we find ourselves back at the beginning.....what is success???

Perhaps success is that moment, that beautiful moment, when you move away from what others think and decide that, for you, success in those terms, has little or no importance for you. When you realise that all these things are also forms of energy and, at their very best, provide you with more choices. So, if we can make choices that make the going easier for our bodily host, our temple, is that not as far as we need to go with "success?" The Soul needs none of these things....it is totally self sufficient.

I have met a lot of people for whom success means totally different things.....there is a guy back in Australia who was my friend for over 50 years, until I left my marriage to "move on". His name is David and, for him, the accumulation of money and assets are all consuming . Only the best of everything for him is enough. Then, there is my friend, Tony, who stands in the main street of the town where I live, selling a magazine called the Real Picture.....Tony does this because he can, because he enjoys it. And then there is Nahwinga, he who has tasted both and now places little importance on material things. As long as I have enough to care for my temple and to help me in my work, I am content. I am far more interested in what is happening in my spiritual life, as I grow closer and closer to ascension....That is MY view of success.....to be ready to ascend!

4. GLOBAL LOVE DAY - 1st May 2004

The Love Foundation is delighted to announce the first annual GLOBAL LOVE DAY on May 1, 2004 with this year's theme of Love Begins With Me. Join people from around the world as we acknowledge, celebrate and share the love we have within. This is a special day of recalling that love is the link that binds us all. It is also the awesome power that heals and transforms everything it contacts.

Each of us is a potent force of love when we allow this energy to express itself. There is nothing we have to ultimately do, rather we need only allow ourselves to feel and be love. It is that simple. Global Love Day is merely our way of saying let's remember love is ours to be and to share every moment of our lives.

We understand this day is a symbol of what we can do every day of the year. Our intent is to join together in a conscious recognition that love is always present. For so many, love is often hidden under layers of hurt, trauma, drama, pain and suffering. Emotional memories, unspoken doubt, fear, resentment and a multitude of old beliefs often keep us from realizing these thoughts and feelings have no real power over us. We give them power by living in the past and being afraid of the future. We ignore the love that is present every moment while embracing limitation. It is time to change that. It is time to release ourselves from our own self created bondage.

You and I have the opportunity to make a difference. Together we can embrace our unlimited self, the part of us that knows love and expresses it naturally and simply. It is when we accept ourselves just for who we are that we transform the moment into peace, security, joy and love. This process begins with releasing our limiting beliefs, past Mistakes, lack of self worth, pride and ego through the conscious act of forgiveness. It is up to us as individuals to undertake this journey. We begin the transformation when we turn within and accept our self. We change the world when we change our perspective.

As we come to know who we are and why we act and react the way we do, we start to see ourselves in the faces of humanity. The reflection of hurt is our hurt, their pain is our pain, another's anger is our anger. It is also seen in the face of nature. Her destruction is our destruction. These seemingly random expressions are our past thoughts seeking manifestation. It is our constant reminder that love is the answer. We build a new reality
in this current moment when we let go. When we choose love over fear, kindness over hate, integration over separation, and peace over war, we bring a new reflection to humanity... our loving selves.

So, please accept our invitation to love. Join us hand-in-hand as we share our love on this planet once again.
